We express our emotions faster and more easily than before. We are more assertive and that is a good thing! But what if empowerment turns into aggression? And what if our direct communication causes discontent or even conflict?
In a professional environment, dealing with resistance and aggression is a crucial skill. The right skills to avoid outbursts or to deal with them correctly, prove their worth every day and in every workplace.
“What are your triggers and limits? What are those of others? What are the different types of aggression? And how can you respond correctly?“
In the interactive training dealing with resistance and aggression, your cases are central. This way, you translate scientific knowledge and new skills to your own work environment.
You start the training with yourself. What makes you angry? Where are your limits and triggers? After this training you will be able to identify and deal with resistance. You will also recognise the difference between frustration and instrumental aggression. Moreover, you will have mastered the right techniques to respond to it correctly.
You learn in a group and with a simulation actor. You work on a personal action plan and receive a useful visual and/or e-book that you can also use after the training.
During this training you learn to recognize and anticipate resistance. You will become familiar with techniques to neutralize or turn around resistance and aggression and also learn to set clear boundaries.
1. Me and aggressiveness
Dealing correctly with resistance and aggression starts with yourself. Bypass your primal brain. Be aware of your limits and triggers and respond rationally.
2. Types of aggressiveness
One aggression is not like another. Frustration aggression and instrumental aggression are different and require a different response. Therefore you must first recognize and understand them.
3. Reacting to aggressiveness
Do you know what aggression you are dealing with? Then it is up to you to react correctly. Do you sway along or do you prefer norming?
4. Let’s do this!
You can only master an art if you practice enough. You do this with concrete cases, in a group and with a simulation actor.
