Attracting and being able to retain employees are the major challenges of organizations in these times. An important answer lies both in providing growth and development opportunities and in using feedback as a tool for that. But feedback often has such a negative connotation. Without the right mindset and view of feedback, no growth and behavior change. In fact, we need to be convinced of the importance of feedback before we actually use it. A lot depends on the way you look at feedback.
How do you get your employees in the right mindset and how do you get them trained in using feedback in a growth-oriented way? And what hurdles must then be overcome? To boost that first step, we take a dive into why collaborating with others is sometimes so difficult, what makes feedback so difficult and how to get around it.
“How you look at feedback will determine whether you accept and act on it.”
In this inspirational session “The Feedback Mindshift: a different perspective on feedback” we take participants through how a feedback culture can be beneficial to themselves, what role they have to play in it and how they can remove their own obstacles. They will get concrete insights and tips to turn the negative connotation of feedback around and use it in their own motivation and growth at work.
During this dynamic inspirational session, we unravel the complexity of feedback. We explore new perspectives and approaches to transform how we view feedback.
What we zoom in on during this session:
1. Myself & feedback:
discover how to balance the desire to learn with the need for acceptance. Learn to understand and positively influence your own reactions to feedback.
2. My manager & feedback:
dive deeper into the dynamics between you and your manager. Through targeted questions, you’ll gain deep understanding and will be able to make your mutual communication more effective.
3. My team & feedback:
analyze the influence of team dynamics on giving and receiving feedback. Reflect and discover what stopped you from speaking up.
In this 90-minute keynote, you will work on your own “feedback manual”, a practical tool that you will complete step by step and which will serve as a guide for future interactions.
